1st Three Legged Cross Brownies

We are a friendly unit based in West Moors Guide Hall. The girls come from lots of different schools, including West Moors, Ferndown, and Verwood, so they love to chat as it is the only time they all see each other!

Each term we ask the girls what they would like to do, so the term is not only based on the Girlguiding programme but also on their ideas of what they would like to do to have fun. Most recently we took part in the Million Mile Beach Clean with Surfers against Sewage as the Brownies wished to do something to help clean the oceans. We also enjoy trying activities such as climbing, kayaking, cooking and celebrating special world events to name just a few.

We get involved in activities in the Division (meeting all units in Ferndown, Verwood, and Alderholt). Trips have included Chessington, Longleat and Cadbury World in recent years as well as fun days at our local Guide camp, Dudsbury.

Every Easter we have an egg rolling competition which is always a hotly anticipated event; the winning Brownie keeps the trophy for the year.

Most importantly we like to have fun!

When are our meetings?

We meet every Tuesday at West Moors Guide Hall.

Promise

I promise that I will do my best, to be true to myself and develop my beliefs, to serve the Queen and my community, to help other people and to keep the Brownie Guide Law.
